How to Throw a Hit Party

Parties are fun, right? Yes…and don’t let anyone tell you different.  But they’re work, too. And during the Holiday Season, the parties—for work, for church, for friends and neighbors—can seem endless. Most of us have the routine down pretty well: pull out the party dress or suit, make that favorite casserole, and you’re on your way.

What happens when you’re the one giving the party, though?

Many of your customers are in that precise position, and there are a few secrets to event planning that can save them a lot of time and stress. Be a resource and give these helpful hints:

Set a Budget

If you’re organizing a neighborhood party for a few friends or an office party for a few hundred, it’s important to be very clear about the money you or your organization are willing to spend.  With all the various components to an event, prices can easily skyrocket out of control.  That said, before you set the budget you need a good idea of what basic event goods and services cost.

Get Help!

Event planners can be a great resource.  They know all the best locations and can often negotiate better prices…not to mention find you a florist, get props, and arrange caterers.
