Job Description/Essential Job Duties

Senior Network Engineer

Preston based SanMar Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer/Systems Administrator. This position is responsible for all aspects of the SanMar PC Network and network projects, to include but not limited to – engineering, implementation and other tasks as assigned. This position will be responsible for all IT issues within our Networked Environment, including Firewall Management, Network Security, email, operations center redundancy, disaster recovery, and overall network health. Some weekends or evenings may be required.

Qualifications

• Min Requirements: 5-7 Years managing a 1000 + Windows based PC Environment is required in order to be considered for this position. BS degree from an accredited college or university. Commensurate level of experience may waive the educational requirement.
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
• Strong Cisco CLI Experience Required.
• Specific knowledge and experience with the following Cisco products: Cisco VPN Concentrators, Pix and ASA 5500 Series Firewalls, Cisco 4500 series chassis or better and Secure ACS
• Specific knowledge BGP, EIGRP, OSPF and IP protocols in an MPLS Environment.
• VoIP and Application QOS
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision or guidance.
• Must be able to prioritize projects based upon business needs.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve network issues as they arise.
• Managed, troubleshoot and configure complex VLANs, WANs and networks.
• Respond to customer requests and provide effective customer service using clear
communication skills
• 4-7 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a mixed vendor data center environment.
• You must be able to solve problems quickly and effectively.
The following experiences are not required but consider a plus.
• CCNA Preferred.
• HP Pro-curve Switch Experience a plus
• Experience with Linux, Windows Server, Orion, Mimosa, Exchange, Sophos, Blue Coat, Symantec and Websense
• Help Desk Support Experience a plus
