Job Description/Essential Job Duties

Job Title: Data Analyst

Description

The Data Analyst will be a member of the database administration team, working closely with business owners through the process of data extraction, analysis, modeling and transforming data into useful, presentable formats. This position will also play a role in generating documentation and providing support to other personnel for data modeling, definitions and architecture.

Job Duties

• Work directly with business to query data for various ad-hoc requests
• Understanding and documenting data across multiple systems
• Support all teams in IT for data and architecture related questions
• Assist and contribute to ongoing data initiatives and BI development

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Experience, Skill and Abilities

• Microsoft SQL Server •
• Compiling and executing simple to complex SQL Queries •
• Query performance tuning •
• Understand database design and architecture •
• Microsoft Office core applications •
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills •
• Team player with positive attitude •
• Ability to work effectively and positively in fast paced environment •
• Accountability and willingness to learn •
• Ability to analyze and solve problems •


Preferred Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience with MSFT SQL Server
• 2-4 years compiling/writing T-SQL
• TOAD or other Data Modeling tools a plus
• Crystal Reports a plus
