SanMar Donates $20,000 in 2008 to Support National and Local Charitable Organizations

Seattle, WA; Jan. 23, 2009�SanMar� Corporation, a leading supplier of imprintable apparel and accessories, announces that in 2008 the company gave $20,000 in apparel and accessories�benefiting hundreds of local and national charitable organizations.

As part of SanMar�s commitment to investing in communities at a grassroots level, the Customer Merchandise Donation Fund enables the company to work with their customers to coordinate apparel and accessory donations on behalf of customers.

�By allowing customers to request where SanMar should give,� explains Carolyn Guettler, SanMar Customer Donation Fund coordinator, �we are not only able to empower our customers in their own charitable efforts, but we are also able to localize our support in a more strategic way.�

Throughout the year, SanMar customers can submit requests for donation opportunities. These nominations are evaluated on a regular basis, and SanMar is able to work directly with customers to provide localized support to communities and organizations in need of wearable items. Donations must support a tax-exempt, non-profit organization, and SanMar does not participate with organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, creed, gender, religion, national origin or sexual orientation.
